Why am I Getting Into Videography?

I've been a photography for a while, but not long ago I had a realization:
Every time I want to relive my wedding day or the moment I got engaged, I find myself watching videos instead of looking at photos. I love my wedding photos, but there’s something about hearing voices, seeing movement, and feeling the energy of the day that just hits differently.

That made me stop and think:
If I personally connect more with video, why wouldn’t I offer that for other people too?

And the more I thought about it, the more I realized that so many wedding videos look super similar—highlight reels set to music. They’re beautiful (I’m obsessed with my own), but I started to wonder… what if I could do it differently?

The Approach I Want to Take

I’m not just here to capture what happened. I want to show how it felt to you and to the people who were right there living it with you. I want my videos to feel like a home video blended with an episode of The Office. I want to follow you around and document your day, but I also want to hear what people are thinking and feeling.
That might look like:

- A groom walking through his proposal plans before he pops the question, trying to act chill while internally panicking
- A bride sharing why she chose her dress and how it makes her feel beautiful before doing a first look
- A couple stepping out of the temple and sharing how the moment felt right after being sealed for time & all eternity
- Bridesmaids telling stories from growing up with the bride and how they knew when she found the one
- A returned missionary bearing their testimony, hugging family, and talking about that food they've been missing out on for the last 2 years
- A dad joking that he’s not crying, he just got something in his eye

These voices, stories, and moments sometimes don’t make it into a typical highlight video, but I believe they’re the ones you’ll want to come back to.
