Hi everyone! I’m Abbi, a portrait and wedding photographer based in Cache Valley, Utah. I’ve been hearing from multiple photographers who run successful businesses that it is SO important to have a blog on your website. As a photographer running this whole thing by myself, a blog sounded like an insignificant thing that would only add more to my already full plate.

However, when I started setting up my website, I was looking at a lot of other successful photographers’ websites (for inspiration since I designed my entire site myself) and I very quickly noticed that every single one of them had a blog. Some of them use their blogs to document their sessions/weddings, some used their blogs to give helpful information to clients, some used their blogs to give advice to fellow photographers, and some did a combination of all of those things. I realized that I could make my blog into whatever I wanted it to be, and it didn’t have to be set up like a “mommy blog” or whatever else comes to most peoples’ minds when they think of a blog.

              So now I’ve decided to make this a place where I’ll share whatever I feel like sharing. Whether it’s a post about my favorite photography locations, outfit advice for summer sessions, or what my experience was shooting a wedding at a certain spot for the first time, I will be using this as a place to document and share my thoughts as I go along my photography journey.
